You can now add WaterMinder widgets to your phone's home screen, making it even easier to track your water intake every day.
Your device will need iOS 14 or above.
Make sure you also update WaterMinder to the latest version 4.2.
How to Add a WaterMinder Widget
1. Tap and hold anywhere on the home screen of your phone. This will make your apps jiggle and display a minus symbol. You'll also see a + symbol in the top right or left corner of your screen. Tap the + symbol.
2. In the search box, start typing WaterMinder. Tap on the option for WaterMinder.
3. You will then see the available widgets. Select the widget you want to add to your home screen.
Widget Options
Current Hydration Simple
This widget gives you a simple visual representation of your current hydration progress.
You can customise the theme of this widget:
1. Tap and hold the widget. A menu will appear. Tap Edit Widget.
2. Tap Theme. Automatic is the default theme.
3. Select the theme you want from the list
4. Tap anywhere on the screen to go back to your home screen.
Current Hydration with Graph
This widgets shows how much water you have consumed so far today as well as your average daily water intake. It also shows a graph showing your water intake history over the past week.
You can customise the theme of this widget:
1. Tap and hold the widget. A menu will appear. Tap Edit Widget.
2. Tap Theme. Automatic is the default theme.
3. Select the theme you want from the list
4. Tap anywhere on the screen to go back to your home screen.
Current Hydration with Cups
This is a large square image with a graphic showing current progress towards your hydration goals as well as more detailed figures. You'll also see your cups. Tapping on a cup automatically opens WaterMinder and records the drink, giving you a way of recording your regularly used cups with a single tap.

1. Tap and hold the widget. A menu will appear. Tap Edit Widget.
2. Tap Theme. Automatic is the default theme.
3. Select the theme you want from the list
4. Tap anywhere on the screen to go back to your home screen.
Hydration Progress Small
This small, square widget gives you an at-a-glance view of your current daily hydration level. The widget also shows values including the total amount you have consumed, how much you still need to drink to reach your daily goal, and a percentage.
The widget also has a notification feature, displaying a warning if you have not logged a drink in the last 90 minutes.
You can customise the theme of this widget. You can also switch off the values so the widget only displays the graphical representation of your hydration progress, and you can switch off the hydration warning.
Here's how you edit this widget.
1. Tap and hold the widget. A menu will appear. Tap Edit Widget.
2. Tap layout to change the information displayed on the widget.
3. The default is to include both the progress indicator and the values, but you can switch off the values setting.
4. To change the appearance of the widget, tap Theme. Automatic is the default theme.
5. Select the theme you want from the list
6. You can also toggle the Water Log Warning on or off.
7. Tap anywhere on the screen to go back to your home screen.
Simple Hydration Progress Widget
This small widget displays how much water you have consumed and your daily goal, and it displays a graphic to show your progress.
There are no customisation options with this widget.
Hydration Progress Values
This widget displays your progress towards your daily goal with values and a progress bar.
You can customise the theme of this widget:
1. Tap and hold the widget. A menu will appear. Tap Edit Widget.
2. Tap Theme. Automatic is the default theme.
3. Select the theme you want from the list
4. Tap anywhere on the screen to go back to your home screen.
Hydration Progress with Cups
This widget displays progress towards your daily hydration goal with a graphic and values. Your regular cups are also displayed. Tapping on a cup will automatically record the drink, giving you a one-tap update uption.

Fill Up the Widget Progress Widget
The progress indicator of this widget is the widget itself. It gradually fills each time you drink until you reach your goal. The widget also displays values showing your progress.

2. Tap Theme. Automatic is the default theme.
3. Select the theme you want from the list
4. Tap anywhere on the screen to go back to your home screen.
Rectangle Hydration Status with Cups
This widget shows your hydration status with values and a progress bar. It also displays your regular cups. Tapping on a cup automatically records the drink in WaterMinder.

Full Hydration Status Widget
This WaterMinder widget provides more at-a-glance information than any other. It shows how much you have consumed today, a graph showing your results for the past week, and headline figures for total consumed, average drink size, the type of drink most logged, and the number of days you have achieved your goal.

1. Tap and hold the widget. A menu will appear. Tap Edit Widget.
2. Tap Theme. Automatic is the default theme.
3. Select the theme you want from the list
4. Tap anywhere on the screen to go back to your home screen.
Removing a WaterMinder Widget From Your Home Screen
1. Tap and hold the widget until the menu appears. Tap Remove Widget.
2. Confirm you want to remove the widget.
